Fishing is for sharing

Discover other anglers at your own pace.

One logbook tells a trip’s story. Several logbooks show different perspectives on fishing: a familiar species for one angler, a first discovery for another, a story behind every photo.

Find an angler and follow their logbook

In the feed, search for an angler by username. You can open their profile and choose to follow them. Their catches join your feed when you have access to their logbook.

Anyone can view a public profile. For a private profile, your request must be approved before you can see their catches. Following someone does not give access to their personal information or entered fishing location.

Observe, then try for yourself

A photo, a species, a date, sometimes a size, lure, description or manually recorded conditions: these details may give you ideas for future trips. They are not a guaranteed recipe and do not reveal the author’s entered fishing spot.

Compare the stories with curiosity. A single catch does not establish that a technique works everywhere or in every season.

A catch can start a conversation

You can like a catch or leave a comment when you are signed in and allowed to view it. A species question, a word about a first catch or a shared tip can start a conversation. Over time, some anglers may build connections; Pêchedex does not promise meet-ups or private messaging.

Stories also share updates with approved followers for 24 hours. You are free to just look: commenting, posting and following others are optional.

Respect everyone’s logbook

Do not ask for a spot someone wants to keep private. Avoid reposting their photos without permission. If content causes a problem, report the catch or use the Contact page. You can unfollow or block an account in the app.
